Tuesday Brunch
The Disco Express welcomes aboard dynamic duo Tuesday Brunch and jack of all trades Donny Rotten for the label's tenth release London To Sydney. A ten thousand mile trip full of weighty beats and soulful house grooves.
Satin Lovers kicks off the EP with finely constructed percussion and gorgeous guitar loops interweaving a killer bass line. A proper groovy house cut perfectly suited for sun soaked, day time dancing.
Following suit is bouncing disco bubbler SOS. Bound together with filtered sweeps, soulful vocals and chugging bass, it's a beefed up rework of an 80s classic. Irresistible grooves and an urge to dance, it's time to work up a sweat.
Stepping up to the oche is Donny Rotten who hits the bullseye well and truly with his solo track, Londres Au Paris. A stomping piano house beauty, Donny toys with various kick combos, breaks and beats evidently showcasing his talents as a sample-based producer. Unafraid to defy convention, this is a proper house jam.
Swinging back full circle is the brilliant Tuesday Brunch with closing track Double Dare Ya. Sunset vibes with echoes of Summer Madness (check out that outrageous synth line), Double Dare Ya perfectly encapsulates disco with modern house flavours. Up beat and feel-good; what a way to round up the EP.
