New York disco punk coming in hot! Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida we're delighted to welcome artist Jonathan Tyler Paul aka Ethical Drift aboard The Disco Express. Inspired by Talking Heads and LCD Soundsystem, Ethical Drift fuses jazz with modern disco, punk and house vibes. Pushing the limits of live and recorded music, Ethical Drift is known for high energy, eclectic performances that move the bounds of Indie Disco and House Music. "I always loved Indie bands that rode the line of Disco, House, or Jazz adjacent. I’m trying to reflect that with a certain style that is both preppy and punk tinged across the entire Ethical Drift entity." he says with a cheeky grin. ____________ The incredibly unique Nightlife In NYC EP is a mark of Ethical Drift's quality. Its brilliantly irreverent attitude and genre-bending crossover of styles are a testament to his creativity as a bourgeoning artist. Sowing together the EP is Parisian house producer Larry G. His piano heavy bass bouncing remix is the perfect union of New York Indie Disco and French Touch. ____________ A fashion model for the likes of Vogue Italy, Alexander Wang and many more, JP has also been integral to bands like Basic Vacation who released on Capitol Records and Troy Carter’s Atom Factory Music.
