Vintage 70's disco with 21st century flair; we're thrilled to welcome Mishell Ivon back to The Disco Express, alongside talented multi-instrumentalist and LA based producer, Sequenceprogram. Inspired by the likes of Donna Summer, Cerrone, Dianna Ross, Yvonne Gage and Kiki Gyan, Shane and Mishell have endeavoured to capture that old school sound. Bouncing ideas from Germany to LA, the EP The Discothèque EP is self affirming and feel-good. Made using live sax, percussion, Juno 106 synth, guitar and bass its an original release with authentic and organic qualities. A release that wouldn't sound out of place in 70s/80s US, this excellent original boogie outing features two club focussed remixes by North Londoner Pete Maxey and Austin based Boogietraxx. _____________________ Mishell Ivon specialises in Disco, Nu-disco and Soulful House. A singer since the age of 13, the German / American vocalist has been touring with many bands over the past ten years. Her affinity for music has seen her tour internationally, become a songwriter and provide vocals for film, TV and radio. For producer and multi-instrumentalist Sequenceprogram the human feel of dance music is everything. Fuelled by a love for vintage synths, real name Shane Mongeau blends 70s disco, jazz, and funk, with modern dance production to give his signature sound.
